M&T University’s roster of online classes currently includes the following. Education for larger groups can be provided on-site, at the request of the broker.

Advanced MEME
(approx. 1 hour)
Once you have mastered registering a loan and uploading/submitting a 1003, you're ready for some advanced skills. This class will demonstrate running AU, setting defaults, linkouts and MEME enhancements. Learn the most common problems brokers experience in MEME and how you can avoid them.

Completing The 203(k) Maximum Mortgage Worksheet
(approx. 1 ½ hrs)
A must for all sales and operations staff working on 203(k)s! Goes through a purchase and refinance MMWS & “renovation lending” terminology.

Completing The HomeStyle Maximum Mortgage Worksheet
(approx. 1 hr)
Goes through the completion of both a purchase and refinance maximum mortgage worksheet for the conventional version of the 203(k).

FHA 101
(approx. 45 minutes)
Explains the basic guidelines and requirements for FHA loans.

Getting The Most Out Of AU
(approx. 1 ½ hrs)
Learn how to interpret AU findings…why use Fannie Mae DU…why use FHLMC LP...what loans require AU…and more.

HomeStyle
(approx. 1 hour)
During this class you will learn the guidelines for a Fannie Mae Conventional rehabilitation loan ie. maximum loan amount, types of properties that can be rehabilitated and calculating maximum LTV on the HomeStyle MMWS. Additionally, you will learn what additional application forms are needed and what happens after closing during the servicing of the rehabilitation.

Intro To Construction Lending
(approx. 1 ½ hrs)
All you need to know to start originating construction to permanent mortgages with M&T! Learn the construction lending basics, M&T procedures, pricing and what happens after closing!

Intro To MEME
(approx. 1 hr)
Get the most out of MEME! Learn how to effectively use M&T's web-based registration system. Reviews uploading loans from your loan originating system such as Calyx, pricing, locking and registering loans. Learn how to setup users, reset passwords and use the InfoCenter.

Intro to Mortgage Banking
(approx 45 minutes)
For those with little to no mortgage background, this class will familiarize you with some terminology and other mortgage lending basics!

Intro To Streamline 203(k)
(approx. 30 minutes)
Course gives overview of new Streamline 203(k) program from FHA.

M&T Jumbo
(approx. 1 hour)
This course describes in detail the M & T Jumbo product including credit score requirements, max LTV's, documentation types and M&T Bank's Underwriting and Eligibility guidelines for jumbo loan amounts.

Making Money with Renovations
(approx. 1 hr 15 minutes)
Gives a brief overview and comparison of the FHA 203(k), the Streamlined(k), Fannie Mae HomeStyle and M & T Bank’s EasyBuild Renovation loans. Describes the process from application through the end of the renovation period and offers many ideas for marketing renovation loans.

Mastering Calyx
(approx. 2 hours)
This class will cover setting up Master Files to enter loans quicker…getting your loans registered correctly...working with Reports to market to Prospects increasing your potential application volume...staying on top of things using Tasks....doing Loan Comparisons to help your borrowers make informed decisions.

Myths and Truths of Credit Scoring
(approx. 1 hr)
Learn how credit scoring works, what factors affect it and other important information every broker should know.

Processing 203(k)s
(approx. 45 minutes)
Gives a general overview of the program for inside staff. Explains the documentation requirements for 203(k) loans, submission procedures and closing instructions.

Section 184 (Lending on Native American Reservations)
(approx. 1 ½ hrs)
Understanding the basics on originating Section 184 loans, which allow borrowers to obtain financing on tribal lands.

System Built Construction – Basics
(approx. 1 ½ hrs)
Learn the fundamentals of system built construction lending including what additional forms are needed to finance this type of property.

System Built Construction – Advanced
(approx. 1 hr)
Covers different construction types…deposits to the builder…obtaining all the information needed…determining total construction costs and more.

System Built Construction – Marketing
(approx. 1 hr)

VA 101
